Town Meeting Minutes – Thursday, April 11, 2002

April 11, 2002

The special meeting was held this date at the Brusly Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Council Member Andre’ led the Pledge of Allegiance.

A roll call by Town Clerk Jules Lefeaux determined those present:

Mayor: Joey Normand
Council Members: Daryl Babin
Ronda Perrault
Joanne Bourgeois
Shane Andre’
Chris Kershaw

Chief Emmett Worley led the discussion regarding a LMA Communication of January 18, 2001 requesting a list of those insured through Risk Management. He stated that he received a letter this year requesting the matrix test results on all those insured by Risk Management.

A motion was made by Council Member Bourgeois to go into executive session, seconded by Council Member Perrault. A roll call vote was called with 5 yeas and 0 nays.

The executive session ended at 6:55 p.m.

Council Member Kershaw led the discussion on painting the Brusly oak tree emblem on the water tower. He stated that the water district would pay half of the costs.

A motion was made by Council Member Kershaw to contribute funds not to exceed $1,100.00 from Special Projects to paint two oak tree emblems on the water tower and to give the authority to Mayor Normand to work out the details with the water district, seconded by Council Member Bourgeois. The motion carried unanimously.

Council Member Kershaw led the discussion on a sign ordinance.

A motion was made by Council Member Bourgeois to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Babin. The motion carried unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
