Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, December 18, 2002

MINUTES OF BRUSLY PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
December 18, 2002

The regular monthly meeting of the Brusly Planning Commission was held on December 18, 2002 in the Council Meeting Room, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Debbie Thompson at 6:30 P.M.

Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Debbie Thompson, Rosa Stelly, Henry Couvillon, Leslie Crockett.

Members absent: Claudette Purnell.

Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Mayor Joey Normand, Joanne Bourgeois, Chris Kershaw, Rhonda Perrault, Don Neisler, Edith Owens, Kim LeMoine.

Upon motion of Mr. Carroll Fontenot seconded by Mr. Henry Couvillon, the minutes of the November 20, 2002 meeting were approved as written. Motion carried unanimously.

Plats submitted:

• “Resubdivision of a Town of Brusly Tract into Tract A & Tract A-1 for WBR Water Works District #2.”

Mrs. Rosa Stelly made a motion to advertise this request for Public Hearing at the January, 2003 meeting. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jules Thibodaux and carried unanimously.

Public Hearing:

• The Chairperson opened the public hearing on the “Resubdivision of Tract “A” of the Henry Harrington Estate, 235 S. LaBauve Avenue, for Gloria Harrington”. There was no opposition. The public hearing was closed.

Mrs. Rosa Stelly made a motion to recommend approval of this request to the Town Council contingent upon Ms. Harrington obtaining signatures of all the heirs to the property and contingent upon the surveyor showing the location of an additional home belonging to Ms. Harrington’s brother located on said property. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jules Thibodaux and carried unanimously.

There was no other business to come before the Planning Commission.

Mr. Carroll Fontenot made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Mr. Henry Couvillon and carried unanimously.

Meeting of the Planning Commission adjourned at 6:40 P.M.

REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
December 18, 2002

The regular monthly meeting of the Brusly Zoning Commission was held on December 18, 2002 in the Council Meeting Room, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Debbie Thompson at 6:41 P.M.

Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Debbie Thompson, Rosa Stelly, Henry Couvillon, Leslie Crockett.

Members absent: Claudette Purnell.

Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Mayor Joey Normand, Joanne Bourgeois, Chris Kershaw, Rhonda Perrault, Don Neisler, Kim Lemoine, Edith Owens.

Upon motion of Mr. Carroll Fontenot seconded by Mr. Jules Thibodaux, the minutes of the November 20, 2002 meeting were approved as written. Motion carried unanimously.

The Secretary announced that Election of Officers for the year 2003 will be held during the January meeting.

There was no other business to come before the Zoning Commission.

Mr. Carroll Fontenot made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jules Thibodaux and carried unanimously.

The meeting of the Zoning Commission adjourned at 6:43 P.M.
