Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, March 28, 2012

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
March 28, 2012

A regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on Wednesday March 28, 2012, 2012 in the Council Chambers, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. Chairperson Rosa Stelly called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM and welcomed new member Kim Lemoine who replaced Jules Thibodaux.
Members present: Kim Lemoine, Ronda Perrault, Rosa Stelly, Claudette Purnell.
Members absent: Jeff Travasos, Gary Soniat, Steve Perkins.
Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Mayor pro-tem Joanne Bourgeois, Don Neisler.

Upon motion by Mrs. Perrault seconded by Mr. Lemoine, the Minutes of the February 22, 2012 meeting were approved as written.

ZONING
No items were submitted for zoning.
PLANNING

1) Request for Subdivision of property “Final Plat of Map Showing Subdivision of Lot 5, Maria Woods Property into Lots 5-A and 5-B for Aaron Daniel. Property address: 401 E. Main Street.

Plat was reviewed and a Public Hearing was set for April 25, 2012.

OTHER BUSINESS

1) Revised Planning & Zoning Commission By-Laws. Revisions were discussed. Upon motion of Mrs. Perrault, action was deferred to the April 2012 meeting in order to receive input from all members.

2) Planning & Zoning Commissioner Training: Next training session according to Mr. Don Neisler will be late May or early June, 2012. A poll was taken of members to determine those who have not had the required training or those who wished to repeat the training at the next session. It was determined that Mr. Lemoine and Mrs. Perrault would be attending. Absent members will be polled at the April meeting.
There was no other business to come before the commission.

Mrs. Perrault made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Lemoine seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

The meeting of adjourned at 6:45 PM.
