Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, March 25, 2015

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
March 25, 2015

The regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held this date, March 25, 2015 at the Brusly Town Hall. Chairman LeMoine called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Commissioner Guidry led the Pledge of Allegiance. A roll call determined the following officials present:
Chairman: Kim LeMoine
Commissioners: Steve Guidry, Jeff Travasos, Gary Soniat, Claudette Purnell
Absent: Ronda Perrault, Steve Perkins,

Others present included Toni Mancuso, Joe Mancuso and Dane D’Armond.

A motion to approve the minutes of February 25, 2015 regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning, as written, was made by Commissioner Soniat and seconded by Commissioner Travasos. The minutes were approved unanimously.

Zoning:
Chairman LeMoine read aloud a variance request for Non-Compliance, Sec. 19.31.1 Zoning District R-1, Side Setback for Kirk Mancuso at 755 Venzule to build a patio. Mrs. Toni Mancuso explained that the patio would be free standing and presented pictures of the location of the patio to the Commission. Mrs. Mancuso stated that her neighbor Mr. Bob Duhon had no objections to the variance request. After a brief discussion, a motion to recommend the variance to the Town Council was made by Commissioner Travasos; seconded by Commissioner Purnell. The motion passed unanimously.

A motion was made by Commissioner Travasos to adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Soniat. The motion passed with a unanimous vote. The meeting adjourned at 6:37 PM.
