Public Hearing – Final Plat:
Chair Person Perrault opened the Public Hearing for the Final Plat showing the resubdivision of Tract SSA-5 into Tract SS-5-A & Tract SS-5-B, Sec. 17, Township 8 South, Range 12 East, S.E. Land District, West of the Mississippi River, Town of Brusly, West Baton Rouge Parish, State of Louisiana for JBD Builders, LLC, municipal address of 608 Floyd Street. Mr. Cletus Langlois of Patin Engineers & Surveyors, representing JBD Builders, explained the plat to the Commission and offered to answer any questions. Several residents of Southside Acres Subdivision voiced concerns which included building on lots with high power lines running through them, having a substandard road running the length of the property and the type of structures to be built on the property. Mr. Langlois reported that the plat met all Town of Brusly ordinances for a subdivision and that there would be no through road, only a private utility and access servitude. Mr. Langlois further explained that the lots were zoned R-1 (single family residential) and any home being built would have to adhere to Southside Acres Subdivision Restrictions, if any restrictions existed.

Hearing no further comments, Chair Person Perrault closed the Public Hearing and referred the matter to the Commission. Having determined that the plat met all the requirements for R-1 zoning regulations, a motion to recommend approval to the Town Council was made by Commissioner Guidry; seconded by Commissioner Perkins. A roll call vote was had with the following results:
Yeas: Guidry, LeMoine, Perkins, Perrault, Purnell, Soniat

A motion was made by Commissioner LeMoine to adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Perkins. The motion passed with a unanimous vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
